How to Create a Multi-Page Canva Website

As a real estate professional, having a sleek, functional website is essential for showcasing your personal brand, listed properties, and overall real estate services. However, the idea of coding can be daunting, especially if you’re not tech-savvy, short on time, or low on marketing funds to outsource aspects of your business like your website.

That’s why I’ve turned to Canva, an affordable and user-friendly design platform that allows me to create a professional, multi-page real estate website without any coding knowledge.

Before diving into the details of this tutorial, let’s address the elephant in the room: Is it actually possible to create a multi-page website on Canva? The short answer is no, but that doesn’t mean it’s entirely impossible!

While Canva is traditionally known for its one-page website structure, I’ve found a way to simulate a multi-page experience by linking multiple website templates together. This approach offers the appearance and functionality of a multi-page site—all within Canva.

Now, let’s explore how I created a multi-page website on Canva for real estate agents!

Step 1: Organizing Canva Website Templates

The first step in my process is organizing my Canva website templates. I streamline this by creating dedicated folders for different pillar pages of my website. For example, I have separate folders for my main real estate website, buyer and seller landing pages, property listings, and open house pages. This organization is crucial for maintaining efficiency as I build and update my site over time.

Step 2: Customizing and Populating Website Templates

Once my website template designs are organized, I move on to customization. I ensure that each template is branded with my colors, logos, and content. Consistency is key here—each page should maintain a uniform look and feel to provide a cohesive user experience across the entire site. Pay special attention to keeping the header and footer consistent across all pages!

Step 3: Publishing the Website

At this point, you’ll want to publish each page individually as its own website. If you’re a Canva Pro user, you can either purchase a custom domain directly through Canva, which renews annually, or connect your own third-party domain by following Canva’s instructions.

In my case, I first published my main website with a custom domain purchased through Canva. For the supplementary pages, I published them under the same domain but altered the subpath by adding additional text after the backslash symbol (/). If that sounds confusing, refer to my video tutorial for visual instructions!

Step 4: Hyperlinking the Pages Together

Once all the website pages are published, the next step is to hyperlink the pages to your main website. I use Canva’s hyperlinking feature to connect various buttons on my main website to the corresponding pages. For example, when visitors click on "View Listing," they’re directed to my property listing webpage. This method creates the impression of navigating through a multi-page website.

Step 5: Adding Backlinks to the Main Website

To enhance navigation, I include backlinks to my main website from each of the other pages. This allows visitors to easily move between different sections, reinforcing the multi-page experience I’ve created. I simply hyperlink elements or text on my website pages with the link to my main page. Again, if that sounds confusing, refer to my video tutorial for visual instructions!

And there you have it, my friend! By following these steps, you can create a beautiful, functional multi-page website entirely within Canva. This approach not only saves time and resources but also offers your clients a professional online experience that keeps them engaged and informed.

This method has worked exceptionally well for me, and I hope it helps elevate your real estate business too. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Canva will introduce native multi-page website functionality in the future!
